How did you get permission to shoot at the two colleges, and the video store? The producer walked in and asked...next question.

How did you cast this thing? Thanks for writing in...you must be a first year film student. Well, what you do, see, is get actors and assign them roles to play...how do you think??? They probably cast anyone who was willing to work for free, the majority of which I'm sure were homeless folks with no other agenda. Okay, seriously, many actors they had worked with in the past fit certain characters perfectly. For the rest, they put up casting notices locally, and held auditions for a couple major roles in New York City. They also used friends/family/coworkers who were right for some parts.

What about the crew? My understanding is that they asked random passer-bys to operate the camera or adjust sound levels or hold the boom. Their position is as follows: "Several crew members we had worked with on movies in the past, and some presently at our day jobs in the television industry. Another crew member saw our casting notice and called, and the rest were awesome cast members doing their part to support the low budget indie!"

Come on...you really shot this low budget film on THREE continents??? Uhh, yea...what don't you understand...3, count 'em three continents - The College Murders was shot on location in New Jersey and Virginia, USA; the islands of Rarotonga and Aitutaki in the Cook Islands; and Nanyuki, Kenya in Africa...oh yes, and in Bermuda. Wait a minute, are the Cook Islands considered a continent? Maybe they're part of the continent of Australia. Hell, I don't know, ask them...they're the ones who are making the claim!

What WAS your budget anyway? As if it's any of your business to inquire about someone else's finances. But I asked them the same thing and since I'm getting paid $275 per answer here...Wait, what was the question?

What year is Maxx's Mustang? 1968...and it's a Cougar, not a Mustang, you got that you ignorant moron?!?! I would have called you something much worse, but they asked me to keep it clean and polite here, ya jackass.

How the hell does Maxx, a college student, have a vintage antique automobile? What are you trying to say - I'm not 'cool' enough to own a sweet ride? If you must know the history...my grandmother, in one of the only good deeds anyone in my so-called family ever did for me, left me the car in her will.

What was this movie shot on/what equipment did you have? They shot on DV with a professional grade camera, external xlr mic, Glidecam, underwater housing, an ultralite for the aerial photography, and many other accessories and add-ons. Personally, I would have shot this brilliant piece on 35mm film, but they couldn't afford it, which of course they hid under the guise of "film is not the 'look' we want for this movie"...I got two letters for you wanna be filmmakers...BS!

Who were these fantastic actors in this film and what else have they done? Wrong web page! Please see the Cast page. Resumes and other information are there, if available.

I wanted to ask the same thing as this dude above, but about the crew. Also the wrong page...dude. Please see the Crew page. Resumes and other information are there, if available. Be good enough to look before you ask next time, champ!

How long did it take to make this movie? See the web page conveniently titled Timeline for detailed information, but the breakdown is summarized as follows (all times are approximate): 5 months of pre-production, 8 months to shoot and 22 months of post-production.

Why the hell did it take so friggin' long to finish this movie? Why the hell did it take so friggin' long for you to reach puberty? This movie has been a labor of love for these people and is low-budget filmmaking at it's best. They have been meticulous in making sure every step of the movie-making process was done as well as possible within their means...and it doesn't help that they all have been working their day jobs as well! So before you criticize, how 'bout you try making a quality feature-length movie under these conditions sometime, steakface!!! (That's a good little insult, Jane, since I can't use any of my favorite curse words.)

How many people were involved in the making of this movie? 88 so far. That was the easiest answer yet. Never made $275 that quickly before. How about some more questions? Keep on asking away people...I'm waiting. Trying to finance my next film, "The Rumpled Fist II: The Ascent", here!
